The Charlie Anchor Zebra Award is handed out once a year at the National Caged Bird Show which is the annual NFSS National Show & special event. Charlie Anchor was an NFSS Judge and long time NFSS member and aviculturalist. He is continuously remembered through this award each year for his exceptional work with Pied & other mutations of Zebra Finches. They were so large he used to joke, “They look like pigeons!”
