Conservation of animal genetic resources is my foremost professional goal, and I am excited by the opportunity to be involved in the collection, interpretation, and preservation of data on captive bird breeding for one of the most influential avicultural organizations in the country.

Around 2005 I got my start in birds with budgies, parrotlets, and cockatiels, and in the ensuing decade also gained experience with poultry, pigeons, and rare hookbills. Currently I specialize in raising Lizard canaries, African finches, and blue-gray tanagers.

I earned a BS in Neuroscience from Saint Louis University in 2021, and currently am working toward a Master of Agriculture with a concentration in Animal and Dairy Sciences from Mississippi State University. At my day job as a microbiologist, I can be found PCR testing food and drug samples for pathological microbes. Outside of work I am usually cleaning and feeding my three bird rooms, antiquing, or attending livestock shows.

I utilize any opportunity I can to roadtrip to animal shows, zoos, museums, fairs, expos, farms, and private aviaries; not only is this fun, but it can reveal trends in aviculture and the bird trade, adding additional perspective to my census work. I look forward to serving and learning more about my fellow NFSS members and their birds.
