Published six times a year, the historical Journal is the NFSS' way of sharing information with members. One of its kind, the journal is high quality and informative. The Journal is full of great articles, on many subjects of interest to the bird enthusiast. Journal coverage strives to be balanced among the interests of Society members, and includes regular features on keeping and caring for birds, breeding, banding, showing, avian medicine and legislation affecting aviculture. Advertisers are greatly rewarded by advertising within it's pages.

NFSS Journal Points of Note

Journal is bimonthly, and published reliably
Current circulation is approximately 600 individuals and affiliated
clubs (club issues may reach many readers)
Readers are finch/softbill enthusiasts (not usually people who own
one or two pet birds)
Journals are given out or displayed at bird shows and other events
Occasional color issues are produced at no extra cost to advertisers

*If you are a club and affiliate with NFSS (Affiliated Package), you are entitled to a free, official NFSS show listing for your event(s) in the NFSS Journal. Your club will also receive the Journal, and listed as an Affiliate on our website. All this for $30! If you are not going to, you can pay to place a paid ad in the Journal. Ad prices are reasonable.
