FROM THE PERCH

Things are a changin!

When I left my perch and joined the rest of the flock at the seed cup (1st Quarter board meeting via internet) there was major seed crunching going on via Internet and phone. Noteworthy are:

We have added a NEW region, CANADA. Canada will now be Region 8. Vince Moase will serve (Pro Tem) as Vice President of Region 8. Welcome to our Northern neighbors, honored to have you join our flock with your own region!

Julie Duimstra has agreed to serve (Pro Tem) as Secretary. Because of personal reasons, Annette Howard elected to vacate the position . The above 2 Pro Tem positions will require a special election within a couple of months.

Ginny Allen has agreed to temporally take over as Finch Shop manager for Annette Howard. Our thoughts are with Annette. We hope all goes well and life improves.

Finch Save & Softbill Save (FS&SS) are up and running thanks to Kerri McCoy and her dedicated committee, Roland Cristo, Ginny Allen, Carol Heesen, Vince Moase and Harry Bryant.

Coming Soon will be the 'new improved' NFSS Bulletin, being pulled together by Harry Bryant and Steve Poe.

Roland Cristo has agreed to be one of the 2 NFSS sponsored speakers at AFA. We are waiting for the second speaker to confirm!

Bird Talk magazine is working with me directly to co-sponsor a seminar on Thursday November 14 at the National Cage Bird Show.

New items have been added to Finch Shop. Check them out on the web page, www.nfss.org

Things are happening............

See you at the seed cup!

Sally Huntington
