Founded in 1984, the National Finch and Softbill Society (NFSS) endeavors to educate any and all persons in the keeping and breeding of finches and
softbills. As a non-profit organization, NFSS serves aviculturists in all fifty states, as well as Canada, Europe, Australia, and the Far East. We have affiliated clubs worldwide, are a member of the
AFA, and have International Correspondent agreements with several large organizations around the world. The Society's purpose is to introduce the enjoyment of keeping and breeding finches and softbills through educational programs and society activities. The Society publishes a bi-monthly magazine and supports conservation efforts as well as exhibition of members' birds around the globe. NFSS cooperates with local and national avicultural organizations in the continual effort to obtain true aviculture preservation.
