Also called Forbes or Blue-breasted, the Tri-colored Parrot finch (Erythrura tricolor) is one of the most beautiful members of the Parrot-finch family. They can be aggressive with their own kind and Gouldian finches, so are best not housed with either.

Their diet should include a good quality seed mix, egg food, sprouted seed and lots of green food. They will take sprouted rice and (maybe) a few mealworms when raising young.
